During the 1970's he took the folk circuit by storm, delighting audiences with his hilarious and often  satirical songs  backed by his delightful guitar playing.   'Red Velvet Steering Wheel Covered Driver', 'Mrs Harris' and  'The Vicar of St Brideswides'  all regularly featured, whilst the expression 'Jobsworth' from his song of the same name, is now to be found in the Oxford English dictionary.

He has appeared on stage many times, for two years partnering the late Spike Milligan in 'One Week Only'.   Other august company has included Richard Stilgoe, Julie Covington, Sydney Carter, Donald Swan and Kenny Lynch.

He was able to return to South Africa in 1980 following the change in Government and from 1980 - 1994 wrote a series of stories about his life in the Broederstroom farming area of the Transvaal.  In 1991 he was asked to narrate 'Carnival of the Animals' and 'Peter and the Wolf'  with the South African National Orchestra.

Jeremy now lives in South Wales with his wife and is once again playing concerts in folk clubs and other venues.
